Supply of Surge Vessel Bladder Replacement Kit

This procurement is for a replacement bladder and associated components compatible with the existing 60,000 L PN35 horizontal bladder surge vessel identified as PV9011 (Serial No. 60000KH16).

The replacement bladder and associated components are required to maintain the vessel’s pressure management and surge protection functions and to support the continued reliable operation of the water supply system.

The bladder is a life-limited component and replacement is being planned as a preventative maintenance activity to avoid deterioration, loss of vessel performance, or unplanned operational impacts. The procurement will include all components necessary to complete the bladder replacement and return the vessel to service in accordance with the manufacturer’s design requirements.

Background / Business Need

Surge vessel PV9011 was manufactured in 2011 and forms part of the bore field water system. The vessel provides surge control and pressure stabilisation within the network through the operation of an internal reinforced bladder and nitrogen pre-charge system.

Over time, bladder components are subject to wear and ageing and require periodic replacement to maintain system performance. Failure or deterioration of the bladder may result in loss of pre-charge pressure, reduced surge control capability, excessive vessel cycling, or the vessel becoming fully waterlogged. These conditions could adversely affect system reliability and increase the risk of unplanned maintenance or operational disruption.

Scope of Supply

The scope of supply includes the manufacture and supply of a complete replacement bladder kit suitable for installation in surge vessel PV9011 (Serial No. 60000KH16), a 60,000 L PN35 horizontal bladder surge vessel.

The supply shall include, as a minimum:

One (1) reinforced butyl replacement bladder suitable for the existing vessel.
Two (2) manhole O-rings.
Bladder seal lock nuts.
Bladder clamping ring assembly.
Anti-extrusion grid assembly.
All associated fasteners and ancillary components required for installation and operation.
Freight and delivery to Perth Metropolitan area.
Certificate of Conformance.
Manufacturing quality assurance documentation and inspection records.
Manufacturing and inspection photographs, where available.
Product warranty documentation.
Technical support during installation and commissioning, if required.

Suppliers responding to this market assessment should demonstrate that the proposed equipment is fully compatible with the existing surge vessel, including fitment, materials, pressure rating, configuration, and operational requirements. Suppliers should also identify any deviations, modifications, or additional requirements necessary to achieve a successful installation.
