Supply and Fabrication of 2 X Dewatering cyclone overflow boiling box
Karara Mining Limited (KML) is initiating a pre‑tender process for the Supply and Fabrication of two (2) dewatering cyclone overflow boiling boxes. Suitably qualified suppliers with the relevant experience and capability are invited to submit an expression of interest and participate in the forthcoming tender process.
Project Background
The project involves the fabrication and supply of RMS dewatering cyclone assemblies and associated chutes, including specified surface treatment and lining systems, in accordance with the technical requirements.
Project Overview
This project involves the fabrication, supply, and surface treatment of two (2) RMS dewatering cyclones over flow boil box chutes, in accordance with the design drawings and technical specifications.
The scope includes full compliance with engineering drawings, fabrication standards, welding requirements, non-destructive examination (NDE), and protective coating systems. The final product must meet strict quality assurance and durability requirements suitable for abrasive processing environments.
Scope of Work
1. Supply
- Supply of 2 × chutes
- Surface treatment:
- External coating: Polyurea
- Internal lining: Linatex natural rubber
2. Fabrication
- Fabrication of 2 × RMS Dewatering Cyclones Over Flow Boil Box
- As per supplied drawings:
- DWG L002-ME-DRG-0022_0
- DWG L002-ME-DRG-0023_0
- DWG L002-ME-DRG-0024_0
3. Fabrication Requirements
- Provide detailed fabrication drawings and DXF files
- Fabrication to AS4100
- Welding to AS/NZS1554.1 SP:
- Internal corner plates: 6 mm fillet, fully sealed (UNO)
- External corner plates: 8 mm fillet, fully sealed (UNO)
- Material requirements:
- Main chute: AS3678-350, 8 mm thickness
- Stiffeners: 75×8 flat bar AS/NZS 3679-300+
- All other structural material: AS3679-300+
4. Inspection and Testing (NDE)
- To be carried out by a NATA approved company
- Acceptance criteria: AS1554.1 SP
- Requirements:
- 100% visual inspection
- 100% MPI of lifting lugs
- 10% random MPI
5. Surface Treatment and Lining
- Abrasive blasting to AS1627 Class 2.5, minimum 70 μm profile
- Internal lining:
- 6 mm & 12 mm Linatex rubber (38 duro, Shore A40 ±5)
- External flange lining:
- 3 mm natural rubber (60 duro)
- External coating:
- Polyurea 3 mm grey
- Topcoat: shield poly F15 polyurea
Requirements for Potential Suppliers
Suppliers must demonstrate, at a minimum the following capabilities and experience:
- Relevant fabrication experience, compliance with applicable Australian Standards (AS4100, AS/NZS 1554.1)
- Capability in rubber lining and polyurea coating
- NDE compliance using NATA-approved providers
- Ability to deliver complete assemblies in accordance with the issued drawings.
Notice Period
The pre‑tender notice will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) days from the date of publication to allow interested suppliers sufficient time to respond.
